MESSAGE:

If You only go around once…you will want to get all the gusto you can…yes, even in the beer you drink, the clothes you wear, the movies you see, etc.

That is absolutely true. If this life is all there is to it, why not live it up? That means there would be no absolutes for right and wrong, no decisions based on moral values, and no one to say who or what is right. “I’m OK, You’re OK” ,,, situation ethics … Live and let live!

However, if you believe liberty is not a license, and that “every one of us shall give an account of himself to God” (Romans 14:12); If you believe that God “has appointed a day in which He will judge the world in righteousness by that Man Whom He hath ordained, in that He has raised Him from the dead” (Acts 17:31), then it does make a difference.

It makes a difference now in our walk and in our talk; what we eat and what we read; and where we go and what we do. It makes a difference in our present joy, knowing the LORD JESUS is our personal SAVIOR and Friend and rejoicing in opportunities to serve Him (John 4:34).

It makes a difference in our hope. “Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great GOD and our SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST” (Titus 2:13). “Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him” (1 Thessalonians 5:10). In contrast, the unbeliever has merely “a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation” (Hebrews 10:27).
No thanks! I’ll pass up some of the world’s temporary gusto for the eternal joy of living together with CHRIST! Don’t pity me. I haven’t missed a thing! JESUS said, “I am come that they might have life and that they might have it more abundantly” (John 10:10). Listen to this good news:

“For the wages of sin is death: but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans 6:23).

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved” (Romans 10:9).

“Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear My voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me” (Revelation 3:20).

If you are convinced that you are a sinner, bound for eternal Hell and would like to place your eternal trust in CHRIST right now, why not tell Him so? Invite Him to “come in.” He said He would. He’ll forgive your sins and give you power to live the CHRIST-centered, SPIRIT-filled life. Do it now!

If you have just received Him, sign your name and the date:
“By faith, I have received Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior today.”
